The Editorial Desk writes every guide on this site. Each guide cites the public source it relies on (IRS publications and revenue procedures, SSA data, the SEC and FINRA rulebooks, the AICPA Code) and shows the date it was last checked. Figures that change each year come from one sourced table that the calculators also use, so the guides and the calculators never disagree. Guides explain how firms can use calculators with clients; they are not tax, legal or investment advice, and we do not claim credentials we do not hold. When a credentialed reviewer joins, their name and credentials will appear here and on each guide they review.
