Six languages,
one calculator on your site
Every calculator can show in English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Arabic, including labels, help text, definitions and the disclaimer. Arabic displays right to left. Visitors switch with one tap, or you set the language per page.
Which languages do the calculators speak?
Six: English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Arabic. Every calculator includes translations of its labels, results, help text, definitions and disclaimer, and Arabic is laid out right to left. You can let visitors switch language or fix the language for a page, for example on a Spanish- or Vietnamese-language section of your website. This website itself is in English.
Why it matters for US firms
Many tax and advisory practices serve households who are more comfortable in a language other than English: Spanish-speaking families claiming the Earned Income Credit, Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese small business owners, Arabic-speaking clients new to the US tax system. A calculator in the client's own language lowers the barrier to asking for help.
Translated definitions matter as much as translated labels: a client who understands what 'provisional income' means in their own language is less likely to misread a result.
