Retirement
Retirement and RMD calculators
for advisory and CPA firms
Twenty-five retirement calculators covering contributions, Roth decisions, required minimum distributions and Social Security timing, using 2026 limits such as the $24,5002026 · IRS employee deferral limit.
Retirement questions arrive in two waves. Savers ask in January and at open enrollment how much to put into a 401(k) or IRA. Retirees ask in the fourth quarter how much they have to take out, and whether a Roth conversion still makes sense before December 31.
This shelf covers both: projections and shortfall tools for planning conversations, account-specific calculators for each plan type, a full set of distribution tools from RMDs to 72(t) payments, and Social Security and pension decisions.
Why advisers and CPA firms share this shelf
For an RIA the retirement calculators are prospecting tools with a compliance edge: projections are hypothetical by nature, so they come with stated assumptions and a methodology note rather than performance claims.
For a CPA firm the distribution calculators are the valuable half. RMDs, early withdrawals and gross-up calculations all change a client's tax return, and a request in November is easier to act on than a surprise in March.

When clients reach for retirement calculators
Each calculator page names the month its question peaks. Plan content, emails and homepage features around these.
Contribution tools peak in January and during open enrollment; Social Security tools around birthdays at 62 and 67; RMD, Roth conversion and distribution tools from October to December.
Retirement calculators: common questions
Do the retirement calculators use 2026 contribution limits?
Yes. Contribution calculators use the 2026 limits, including the $24,5002026 · IRS employee deferral limit and the $7,5002026 · IRS IRA limit, each listed with its IRS source on the figures page.
Are retirement projections 'hypothetical performance' under the SEC Marketing Rule?
They can be, depending on how they are used. The SEC treats an interactive tool that a client uses to run their own scenarios differently from projections an adviser presents, provided the adviser explains the methodology, assumptions and limitations and that results vary. Review your setup with your CCO; our compliance guide explains the considerations.

Yes. Defaults are editable per calculator, which many advisory firms do so the starting assumptions match their published capital market assumptions.
Are these calculators suitable for a 401(k) plan sponsor audience?
They are written for individuals, but the 401(k), contribution-effect and borrow-from-plan calculators work well on pages aimed at plan participants.
